A Comprehensive Guide to Full Arch Dental ImplantsÂ
Are you considering getting dental implants? If so, you are likely aware of the various options available. One type of implant procedure that has become increasingly popular in recent years is full arch dental implants. To help you decide if this type of procedure is right for you, let’s look at everything you need about full-arch dental implants.Â
What Are Full Arch Dental Implants?Â
Full arch dental implants are used to replace an entire arch of missing teeth. Instead of having multiple implants placed throughout your mouth, this method requires at least four implants to secure a full arch denture bridge.Â
Taking care of your implant-supported full arch bridge is similar to looking after your natural teeth. Use a waterpik, superfloss, and rinse every day. Also, visit your dentist regularly for check-ups and hygiene treatments. Keeping the gums around your implant full arch bridge healthy is key to a long-lasting smile. During visits, we’ll use our technology and tools to measure gum health and ensure all the parts of your implant are in good condition. Good nutrition helps keep natural teeth and implants healthy, so make sure your diet consists of more fruits, vegetables, and meats as opposed to simple carbohydrates. Taking great care of your implant will help you enjoy the prosthesis for years to come!
What is The Process Like?Â
The process for getting full-arch dental implants involves several steps. First, Dr. Jeya Guna, Dr. Luxmi Guna, Dr. Oleg (Alex) Agranovich, Dr. Jubin Zaboulian, or Dr. Rekha Hariwala will evaluate your mouth. Through a comprehensive exam and a consultation with the placing doctor, it will be determined whether or not you qualify for this type of procedure. Once we have determined that you are eligible, the procedure consists of placing implants, usually four, at one time. If treatment is planned, a conversion denture can be attached to these implants so that you will be able to leave with teeth on the same day as surgery! After healing is completed, you will return for the fabrication of the full arch implant bridge, which usually takes five visits.Â
Are There Any Benefits to Full Arch Implants?Â
Yes! Full-arch dental implants offer many benefits compared to traditional full or partial dentures. They provide greater stability and strength than conventional dentures. Additionally, because they are secured directly into your jawbone, full-arch dental implants look and feel much more natural than removable appliances. Finally, this method requires minimal maintenance and can last many years with proper care!Â
