Meet The Team

Dr. Jeya Guna began Dental Health International over 30 years ago, becoming known as the foundation of quality oral health care in the community. She strives to deliver a positive, clean, modern, and comfortable environment for her patients so that they can look forward to coming to the dentist. Dr. Jeya achieves this goal in part by investing in the most relevant dental technology that elevates the patient experience, such as a panoramic and 3D Cone Beam CT, iTero digital scanners, and Cerec technologies. Dr. Jeya also understands that delivering quality care ensures that patients are well versed in all their treatment options and well informed of every benefit and consequence of treatment.

Dr. Jeya Guna heads Dental Health International  on principles of empathy, transparency, and patient education. She remains committed to evolving her practice to meet patient needs and expectations, and she understands the value of continuing education in being able to advance levels of care for patients. Dr. Jeya is a current member of the American Dental Association and the Massachusetts Dental Society.

In her free time, Dr. Jeya Guna loves to cook cuisines from all over the world, take long walks, and travel to London to see her sisters and extended family.

Dental school gave Dr. Luxmi Guna the opportunity to hone her skills in becoming a compassionate and skilled provider. She served as a dentist for the Boston Medical Center Geriatric Department Home Care Program, a program that delivered at home dental care services to physically disabled and medically compromised patients over the age of 70. Dr. Luxmi Guna also attended a mission trip to Poptun, Guatemala, working with a Boston University led-team to provide dental treatment to 50+ patients per day.

After graduating from dental school, Dr. Luxmi Guna completed a General Practice Residency at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. During this time, Dr. Luxmi specialized in hospital and emergency dentistry, and worked with medically complex patients. She trained alongside medical doctors and oral surgeons to better understand the full-body implications of oral disease and how to provide the best comprehensive care to her patients. Additionally, Dr. Luxmi worked on a Special Care Dentistry rotation, where she worked with adults and children with special needs to deliver extensive dental treatment in the operating room.

Dr. Luxmi is an avid learner, taking continuing education courses in implant dentistry, implant restorations, and cosmetic dentistry to learn the most relevant science and techniques for her patients. Dr. Luxmi is a current member of the American Dental Association and the Massachusetts Dental Society.

In her free time, Dr. Luxmi Guna loves to explore New York City, travel, and eat at new restaurants in Boston.

During dental school, Dr. Aynka Guna participated in the Home Care Dentist program, enabling him to provide treatment to medically compromised and underserved patients in long-term care facilities and their homes. Dr. Aynka Guna took teaching positions to better educate patients about their oral health care needs, such as through the Boston Living Center, Roxbury YMCA, and in the American Student Dental Association District 1 Debate. Additionally, Dr. Aynka Guna also attended a mission trip to Poptun, Guatemala, working with a Boston University led-team to provide dental treatment to 50+ patients per day.

Dr. Aynka Guna completed additional training after graduating dental school; he received his Advanced Education in General Dentistry at NYU Langone in Spokane, Washington. Dr. Aynka Guna provided comprehensive dental treatment to an underserved population afflicted with a limited access to care. He learned how to make dental phobic patients comfortable in clinic settings, with extensive training in Nitrous Oxide administration.

Dr. Aynka has returned to Boston University to complete his Post-Doctoral residency in Endodontics. As part of his specialty program, he is currently pursuing research in bioactive Endodontic sealers and contributing to the advancement of the Endodontics specialty. Dr. Aynka Guna is also a current member of the American Dental Association and the Massachusetts Dental Society.

In his spare time, Dr. Aynka Guna loves to go on long walks with his rescue pup, Kody, listen to podcasts, and ride his peloton.

Dr. D is passionate about enhancing the quality of the patient’s oral health that in turn can change their lives through the power of dentistry. Dr. D says, “What motivates me the most is to see a change in my patient’s raised self-esteem  as a result of a little contribution that I have made through my work.”

Dr. D was recently featured in Boston Magazine as one of the ‘2018 Top Dentists.’ Her work is informed by a deep understanding of periodontal techniques, research, and clinical practice. Prior to joining our team, Dr. D practiced as a periodontist at the Boston University Dental Health Center and was a Clinical Assistant Professor at Boston University. As a periodontist and an educator, she performed numerous complex procedures and instructed predoctoral and postdoctoral students and residents in several aspects of periodontal diseases and treatment. She is particularly interested in applying innovative techniques in periodontology that result in improved outcomes.

Dr. D holds a Master of Science in Dentistry (MSD) (2004), a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study (CAGS) in Periodontology and Dental Implantology (2010), and a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from Boston University (2017).  She is an active member of the American Academy of Periodontology, the American Dental Association, the Massachusetts Dental Society, and the Academy of General Dentistry.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband Nilay and two daughters Aadya and Shreya.  She also enjoys socializing with her multitude of friends, reading, listening to music, dancing, and traveling.

Dr. Alex has been with Dental Health International for over 20 years. At this point, Dr. Alex has come to treat generations of the family members that come to our office! Dr. Alex’s gentle disposition has garnered a strong loyalty from his patients, as they trust his knowledge and expertise. Dr. Alex ensures that his patients understand each step of a treatment plan, carefully attending to his patients’ individual needs. Dr. Alex provides a wide array of services, ranging from cosmetic dentistry to dentures.

Dr. Alex is a current member of the American Dental Association and the Massachusetts Dental Society.

Dr. Alex is fluent in Russian. Outside of the office, he thoroughly enjoys traveling with his family and friends.

She trained for the next three years in orthodontics with leaders of the field at the University of Michigan and obtained both Certification in Orthodontics and a Masters of Science. Her Masters thesis focused on smile esthetics in relation to facial muscular activities and was published in the American Journal of Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopedics in 2009.

Doctor Lin has been working with Dental Health International for over 10 years. Her favorite aspect of practicing orthodontics is collaborating with patients, from children to adults, to create healthy smiles. Working within a group practice allows Dr. Lin to partner with our other general dentists and specialists to deliver efficient and quality care to our patients.

Dr. Lin is a current member of the American Academy of Orthodontics and the American Dental Association.

Beyond Dental Health International, Dr. Lin loves to spend time and travel with her husband and two children.

Dr. Jubin Zaboulian (known as Dr. Z) values patient relationships and holds a strong commitment to meeting patient needs. Dr. Z is well versed in cosmetic smile transformations with veneers, crowns, implants, and implant restorations. He has boosted the confidence and self-esteem of so many of our patients through his clinical expertise. He is constantly researching and attending continuing education courses to deliver the best possible care for his patients. In particular, Dr. Z has a strong interest in the latest technologies in implantology, prosthodontics, and aesthetic restorative techniques. His knowledge and expertise allows him to collaborate with patients to create healthy and beautiful smiles.

Dr. Z is a current member of the American Dental Association and the Massachusetts Dental Society.

In his free time, Dr. Z loves to play piano, ride his bike through Boston, and spend time with family.

Dr. Rekha’s dental experience spans beyond private practice, as she spent 10 years as the dental director at Southend Community Health Center. She mentored and worked with dental students from both Boston University and Tufts Dental Schools, and has become credentialed as adjunct faculty in both institutions. Additionally, she has previous experience providing dental care on military bases. At Dental Health International, Dr. Rekha provides her patients with various treatment options, from fixed ceramic crowns and bridges to implant crowns.

Dr. Rekha is a current member of the American Dental Association and the Massachusetts Dental Society.

Dr. Rekha is fluent in Hindi, and beyond our office, she loves to travel internationally with her daughter, take part in her book club, and spend time with her new grandson.

Jennifer Cruz has been with DHI since 2018. What does she like most about our practice? “DHI provides a great working environment. Everyone is nice and we get along well.”

Jennifer graduated from Lincoln Technical Institute and started working with DHI shortly after graduation. Jennifer is known on our team as hard working, responsible, and passionate about improving her skills to deliver quality patient care. In her own words, she states, “What I like most about working at DHI is all the different specialties they have to offer. Complex fields of dentistry, such as Endodontics and Orthodontics, have helped me to become a more diligent dental assistant. We work within a great team of skilled Doctors, and we all come together to deliver the best care for our patients.”

Karen graduated from Lincoln Technical Institute and joined DHI within a few months after  graduation. Karen has a strong work ethic and is always pushing herself to learn more techniques on the job, including digital dentistry and providing same day crowns to our patients! She enjoys being able to work amongst a loving and unique staff

Rosmeri graduated from North Shore Community College in 2019 and began working with DHI in 2020. Rosmeri loves being able to connect with patients and make them feel more at ease when they sit in the dental chair. Her infectious laughter and personality is a real joy for all of our patients to experience, and they truly feel more comfortable at our practice because of her efforts as a dental assistant.

Alaysa graduated from North Shore Community College and began working with DHI shortly after graduation. Her favorite part of the job is being able to be part of a supportive team.

Rosa graduated from Lincoln Technical Institute and began working with us right after graduation. Regarding her favorite aspects of the job, she notes, “I like that I can be there for patients while they are going through their different treatment levels. Watching how their smiles are transformed with fillings, crowns, veneers, and implants is very enjoyable for me. I also love how our team gets along and that we make work fun for each other.”

Alejandra brings to our office a wealth of experience in the administrative background of the dental field. Alejandra is one of your first points of contact, and she always greets patients with a bright smile! She helps our office to run like clockwork, and is ready to answer any of your questions.

With the practice since 2004, Morena is dedicated to collaborating with our patients to help deliver healthy smiles. She views our patients like family, and works tirelessly to ensure that patients are comfortable and happy with our office. Some of her many duties include treatment planning, walking through insurance plans with patients, and organizing the doctors’ schedules.

Fluent in English and Spanish, Morena enjoys spending time with her family in Revere, Massachusetts, which includes her parents, children, and two dogs.

Working in conjunction with her sister, Morena, Jenny appreciates that Dental Health International operates on family centric values. Her duties include checking claims, administering insurance payments, and ensuring that patients’ insurance benefits are utilized properly.

Outside of the office, Jenny enjoys keeping up with the latest fashion trends and spending time with her family

Hema has been with our office since DHI first opened, in 1991! Although she works behind the scenes to manage insurance claims, she is also adept in clarifying insurance benefits to patients

A professional in the field since 2001, Amy works alongside Hema and Jenny to verify insurance claims, administer insurance payments, and ensure that patients’ insurance benefits are utilized properly.
